Anyone get a survey done recently?
We have to do a property survey for our home to include topographical information (elevations).
has anyone done this recently? If you don't mind me asking, how much was it?

Re: Anyone get a survey done recently?
OK, the quote I received was $2k.
I know this job is a little more involved because it is being done for some flood zone issues...did your survey specifically identify elevations? I'm wondering if that is why this is so much.
Honestly I thought it would be about $1k

Re: Anyone get a survey done recently?
hmm elevations in what manner?
it lists the height of fences, and stuff, but now ground heights, that would be a lot more complicated and details we didn't need
The best thing to do is call around and get quotes from a bunch of companies to see what they would charge for the service you need.

Re: Anyone get a survey done recently?
elevations in terms of how my property falls in relation to a tiny stream that runs next to it.
I think it is probably a little more complicated than the average survey which is why it's more.
