E. Northport- Bellecrest Area
Random question about the Bellecrest area-
Since it seems you need to go up a bill hill off of Vernon Valley Road- Is it very difficult in the snow to get up the hill? Like for example on Soundview or Bellecrest roads? We drove up Soundview yesterday and I felt like I wouldn't make it up in the snow! (I have an Acura TSX car)
Anyone know about this area during the snow?
TIA!

Re: E. Northport- Bellecrest Area
My best friend in HS lived on Bellecrest and I never had a problem in the snow and I can't remember him complaining about it.
They were always pretty good with snow removal when I lived in the area and I lived on a crazy hill off of Waterside that was always clear in the snow.

Re: E. Northport- Bellecrest Area
i think you'll be fine in the bellcrest area... there are worst hills in the area and people don't have problems
i live in the town of huntington and i think the plowing is just fine. better than the town of islip, that i work in.

There are also other ways of getting into the area that aren't don't require that big vernon valley hill. Drive around the back roads.

Re: E. Northport- Bellecrest Area
In 9+ years I've never had a problem. There are different ways to get in to the neighborhood besides the big hill right off Vernon Valley. If you go up closer to Larkfield Rd., you can make a left at the red church and it takes you in to the neighborhood - and its not a hill.

Re: E. Northport- Bellecrest Area
I grew up on Forest Drive over there and the Vernon Valley hill is a b!tch in the snow. But like other posters have said, there are other ways in and out of the neighborhood.
Plowing wasn't that bad growing up, but that was 15-20 years ago. And, my dad's best friend always used to come over and plow us out so it really wasn't on my radar as a kid.
Good luck!!

Re: E. Northport- Bellecrest Area
Thank you everyone for the responses...I'm glad to hear there are alternative ways to get in there- We only drove up the big hill but I mapped it and now see the other ways to get in that area
