Re: If you went to a BF'ing class, did it help?
Overall it was helpful, b/c I did learn some things. Although I read alot, it did help to see a video of it actually being done and having the LC speak about common issues.
I will say that I felt faint when I saw the engorged breasts, but it isn't as bad as it looks at all!!!

Re: If you went to a BF'ing class, did it help?
Yes, especially because I brought my husband with me. I read the books, so much of what was discussed I already knew. But having the opportunity to get my hubby informed in advance was very, very helpful to get us on the same page once the baby came.

Yes! DH and I found it very helpful. DH wanted to go because he wanted to make sure he could help me out. He also read up on the BF books so he was a real pro when it came to getting my milk supply in, so I didnt have any problems when it came to Julia latching.

yes, I think it seriously contributed to the success with the latching which can be difficult.

Re: If you went to a BF'ing class, did it help?
NO!! But it was just my instructor. She went around the room and asked eveyone why they were there. 16 out of 17 women said they were there to learn how to breast feed and one said she was considering breastfeeding.
So out of a 3 hour class, with 2 10 minute breaks- she spent 90 minutes going over WHY we should breast feed, 30 minutes on the biology of breast feeding and 30 minutes on how to breastfeed.
I think if i had a better instructor, it would have been more informative.
