Okay so how would you handle this?
I still have to cash in on my bday gift, an all inclusive trip. We are probably going to Excellence Punta Cana in August. The only problem is that right now we live in MD, but may be living in NY in August, depending on if we get jobs soon.
So where do we book our flight from? Should we book the resort now and just wait on the flight? That makes me nervous. What would you do?

You'll definitely be able to get a flight, so I'd wait. It might be a bit more expensive though.

You could wait a little bit--but if you still arene't sure, book it from NY & then if you are in MD, make it an extended trip by driving & spending a night in NYC or on LI.
