Curious.. how many showings did you have your first week/10 days on the market?

Just wondering how we are doing. I assume the first week to 10 days is the most active.

Our house has been on MLSLI since this past Saturday night. WE have had 2 showings in 3 days so far. We are having a broker open house tomorrow and Open house in 2 weeks. This weekend will be slow because of Mother's Day.

the house I want was listed a few days ago...already a lot of people have seen it (it's very nice and great price, so maybe that's why)

The 1st 4 weeks is the best. If you home is priced correctly, staged and ready, buyers will come even on New Years.
If you are in the market looking and saw a great deal wouldn't you run to see the house before you go to mom?
Many do.

Yes-- if you are in the market and have been looking, you look every day you can-- at least that's what we are doing.

We've had 2 to 3 showings every day since Friday, so I think we are in good shape. I thought this weekend would be really busy, since we just went up Thursday afternoon last week-- and other places where the listing posted besides MLS didn't get up til Sat/Sun.

We have already rejected one offer, and have another on the table in the negotiations stage. I'd like to get more offers, and potentially get our asking price (if not more!).

I agree that if you're priced right and your home has a lot to offer you will sell quick. Someone once told us not to be too greedy in terms of your asking price - you could really screw yourself if you turn down offers bc you are waiting on more. Happened to my brother and he lost out on some money....

I don't know exact number but it was a lot, we had at least six at our first open house and multiple people the first two weekends we were on the market, a few during the week but we usually tried to push them to the weekend, way too mcuh with DS during the week....we sold in three weeks....we were priced very fairly and our home was one of the nicest in our development.

I've got to say, we were still pretty shocked and a bit unprepared. PEople had warned us it could take up to a year so we weren't really expecting to sell so quickly...
