For those of you who spotted after an internal...
I had an unexpected internal exam yesterday morning and for the first time I'm spotting. But how long am I supposed to spot? How long do you spot (if at all) after your internal?
Because there seems to be a lot and now I'm wondering if I'm actually losing my mucas plug.

I spotted like I had my 3rd or 4th day of AF for like 2 hours, but not enough to soak through a whole pad (sorry TMI). Then, it tapered down to spotting. I spotted a little yesterday and this morning, nothing. My doctor told me if I soak through a pad in a hour or less, to call immediately.
I hope it is your mucus plug.

OK so maybe it is my mucas plug?
I had the internal yesterday and even though the doctor told me that she say some blood so I may spot, I didnt get anything until late last night before I went to bed - and now again today - and its heavier today (sorry for TMI) the blood is not heavy - and is brown - but the mucas part is heavier. So I'm thinking I might be passing nmy plug.... I dont think I would still be spotting 24+ hrs later from an internal, especially since the spotting/discharge didn't even start until about 7 hrs AFTER my internal.

Ok, not to get TMI here, but I had my first internal yesterday and this morning I swear I lost a bit of my mucos plug. It was just dark brown and very mucuosy. Told you it was TMI! IN the last hour, its there a bit, but not enough for a pad or anything.

I would agree, that is your mucus plug because I spotted immediately after the doctor left the exam room. Maybe your doctor got things moving for you??  Kathy, it won't be long now...

Ooooh this is VERY interesting!! Im thinking it's my mucas plug then because its very mucasy - especially today - and just tinged with brownish blood. I didnt have any bright red blood at all.
This could be a great sign!! I'll know more Mon when I go for my next internal.

I hope this is the start for you, it does sound like bloody show. I have been told if your lose your mucus plug with no brown blood, it could be days or weeks til labor starts. If it's bloody show (mucus with blood), labor is coming!!

Exactly!!! I was a POAS addict!!! I wish they made a home test you can POAS that tells you when you will give birth 5 days before your expected delivery date just like First response pg test!
