Please recommend your towels...
We're almost done with our "taking forever" bathroom reno so I'm in the market for new towels. But I want ones that will hold out for a while. Not necessarily the most glamourous, expensive.
My experience...
From my shower, Charter Club from Macy's, three years old... ratty, pulled, seams coming apart.
For our new downstairs bath, Royal Velvet from BBB, less than a year old... Doing pretty okay so far.
Towels from my single days, Martha Stewart from Kmart, almost ten years old, have become the "junk" towels for muddy floors, dog mess, etc... Look better than any other towels I have! And I sometimes throw them in the white wash with no color fade!
Anyone know if Martha Stewart towels in Macy's is decent quality? Because what she had in Kmart did not need to be changed.
What are your favorite towels? TIA!

I like the Hotel Collection at Macy's. They kept better than my set from Fortunoff. The seams kept straight, no pulls or threads. Still plush after 3 years of washing/drying.

I LOVE the Laura Ashley lifestyles towels. I buy them at Kohl's--the reg. price is $16.99 but they are often on sale for $10. They are sooo soft, and never get pulls. I do buy new ones every year or so because I am a towel snob and NEED a soft towel.

We have these also and love them...still soft and absorbent after about 2 years, no major damage at all. They were actually on sale for $7.50 this weekend!
I did see the BBB in Westbury had some of their Microcotton towels on clearance for $7.99...mostly neutral colors left (white, cream, mocha). They were on a table near the registers.
