Curtains for Tuscan inspired kitchen
Hey Y'all!! My DH and I redid most of our kitchen not too long ago (although we are still working on the cabinets) we are going with a Tuscan inspired theme, we painted the walls a Tuscan texture with Valspar Tuscan accents, mostly golds and yellows and Reds. But I am having a hard time finding curtains for my small kitchen window above my sink that I like...I attached a pic of the color so that you could see...does anyone have any suggestions as to what might go? What kind of curtains are you looking for?
Tiered? Just a valance?
The Curtain Store in Massapequa has a decent selection. I purchased our kitchen curtains from them.
It's a floral pattern - gold-toned with reddish blooms on it.
They were reasonable too.

I was looking for a set, perhaps, with a valence and the curtains...or maybe someone has some fabric ideas, as my MIL is a seamstress and she can probably help make them, I just dont know what to look for.

When I think Tuscan - I think olives and grapes - do you want to go that theme-y?
I LOVE my tiered curtains. They're similar to this:
Love them, love them, love them. Where are you? Can you swing by the Curtain Store - they're in Massapequa on Sunrise Hwy. Just west of the mall.

Try getting some roman shades at JC penny.. REASONABLE PRICES... You can throw a gorgeous solid color and put up frames with designs and floral colors.
I personally have the Savannah Roman Shades in my breakfast nook... http://www2.jcpenney.com/jcp/x5.aspx?DeptID=60156&CatID=60442&cmAMS_T=X3&cmAMS_C=C8&CmCatId=60156|60194

you can def. do a sage green or a brick red. The ones that Jenn627 posted are nice. Love what you did to your walls. I guess it depends how themey you want to go in the kitchen.

Re: Curtains for Tuscan inspired kitchen
Thanks everyone..I was actually thinking to go more with a solid color than a print...for some reason the prints just look a little to cluttered to me (although - if you saw all the crap on the side of the photo you wouldn't think I had a problem with clutter) Thanks for the suggestion on the Roman Shades...I actually think that might be the way to go!
Thanks!
