i can't tell you anything bad, but you will get ALL kinds of answers.
i love it, moved back to it and raising my kids there.
all i can say is go for it! i am thrilled with were i am.

Back in the day there was a stigma about the Levittown SD but that has changed over the years. I bought a house in the East Broadway/Salk/MacArthur School district and I couldn't be happier.

I think its a great district, my husband grew up there, him and all his sisters(3) went to college and all have very successful careers HTH

I was born and raised in Levittown SD and it is an excellent SD. Some people might disagree and some people might agree. I think it is a great town to raise your kids in period.

Us too!!! I grew up in Wantagh/Levittown schools and have always loved this area.

Danielle and I have lived on the South side of Hempstead turnpike for 5 years and we love it. We are zoned for Abbey - Salk - Mac Arthur and the schools are excellent

Just moved to the district and my neighbors all seem really happy with the schools. In fact, the only time I've ever heard negatives about it, it was from people who don't have kids there and don't know anyone who does.

DH and his sisters are all successful graduates of the Levittown SD. They went to Salk & MacArthur.

I went to Salk/MacArthur and think the education you get there is great.
It is funny because I have since moved off the island and this morning in my school mailbox, I got a UAlbany study, entitled "What Makes HS Work" and MacArthur was actually one of the ten NY schools profiled.

I am from Levittown (Abbey Lane/Salk/MacArthur). We don't live on LI any longer but may move back some day. If we do we will likely buy in Levittown or Wantagh w/ Levittown schools. I still think it's a great area and I felt that I got a good education.
