Last Feed...last feed tonight
I am probably going to answer my own question, but just wanted some input.
The last few nights, Sir Sleepyhead has been waking up at around 1.45 am to have a bottle. I don't usually give him a bottle at around 11 pm, but do you think that if I give him a bottle when I come up to go to sleep at around 11 or midnight, this will stop him waking up at around 1.45 for a nosh...
Yes, I know the answer is pretty obvious...but when I have tried to wake him for an 11 pm feed, he wasn't interested. Do you have any tips on the last feed for Sir Wakesalot???

Re: Last Feed...last feed tonight
Does he definately need to be fed in the middle of the night or just comforted a bit so that he could go back to sleep?

Re: Last Feed...last feed tonight
Well, I usually wake up to the sound of him sucking his fingers, so I usually just feed him. So what happens is I feed him around 5 oz EBM, he goes right back to sleep, sometimes he seems to eat a bit less and he doesn't settle down, so when I feed him a bit more and he is satisfied, he goes right back to sleep.
He goes to bed at 8.30 ish, wakes at 1.45 eats, goes back to sleep at around 2, wakes again at either 4.30 or 5.30 and eats again, goes back to sleep 15 minutes later and wakes up at around 7.30/8ish
(I know you didn't ask for this info, but there is some trashy eurodisco on television and I was typing to the rhythm and got carried away)

So you wake him up to feed him or does he wake up on his own? I'm not talking about sucking his fingers but is he crying bc he's hungry? I would try to skip the night feeding all together.

Re: Last Feed...last feed tonight
I tried to cut out the 3-4am feeding on SIR CRANKIPANTS and it was hell on wheels! He screamed for 2 hrs. So i am assuming he is hungry b/c he ***** the bottle dry. Usually i only give him 3 oz though. He gets ******, but usually i can settle him down. I was wondering the same thing about say an 11pm feeding but Jacob is such a heavy sleeper when he does sleep and I dont know if i can make him drink. I'm gonna try it though, what the hell, cant hurt right??? (I have a feeling i'm gonna regret those words!!!)

I actually woke him up to feed him and he guzzled around 7 oz of EBM, that was around 11.30...and he slept all night. Perhaps thats what I was doing wrong. AND last night was important because I finally enticed my husband back into the marital bed....so my point was proven reet good (as they say here in the North West of England)
He has been Sir Don't Wanna Nap today though...ah well, he will sleep well tonight.

Has your son been Knighted by the Queen also? She is 80 this week is our Liz...and we don't even get a day off of work (although I am on maternity leave, I don't get a day off to celebrate the Queen's birthday)
I think the 11 pm dream feed is worth a try...it worked for us!
