property Grading
Did anyone have their propeerty regraded to have water flow away from the house instead of having it pool next to the house? we have some water issues in the basement and doing everything we can to minimize this. feedback please.

Re: property Grading
we plan on doing this ourselves. Just getting some fill, rotatill the ground and make sure there is a slope.

Re: property Grading
We had this done last weekend. An all-purpose handyman and his son did it for us in a few hours. They actually lowered the ground by a few inches and then re-graded the area (about 8 feet wide by 18 feet long) because it had sloped towards the house and we were getting water damage too.
Seemed like a pretty simple job.

Re: property Grading
We are doing this now since we have to replace our patio. They actually have to bring it down almost a foot. I can't wait to not have a puddle by my back door anymore.
