Ok, it kills me that these shoes look so bad in this pic...they are gorgeous and much better looking in real-life.

Anyway, I am dying to wear them. I have a dinner in the city tomorrow night. I am NOT one to go without tights in the Winter. For those of you who are really into fashion....what do you think about patterned tights with these? Of course, the toes on the tights are seamless....I personally haven't worn tights with open-toed shoes, but plenty of my friends have and it looks cute if done right.

Since the shoes are nude, they look good with anything...but I do suspect they look better with a nude-colored patterned tight, and now I don't know what color dress to wear. I tried the shoes on with a simple black dress and a yellow/citrine statement necklace I just bought. I am usually really matchy-matchy and it's hard for me to throw on shoes that don't match my outfit perfectly. What are your thoughts on this? I always read fashion columns by people like Kate Moss and Rachel Bilson and they're always like, "don't think about it too much, just throw on what you like and it usually works..."....so hard for me though. Thoughts??

I would wear the black dress but wear natural wood color jewerly. Like wood beads necklaces, etc.. And different layers/length.

I think patterned tights would look fantastic. Is there a bow or a flower on the shoe? It's hard to tell from the little pic. If there is, make sure the pattern is small. Nothing to crazy or it will over power the embellishment. Have funChat Icon

They look really cute but I don't know if I would wear those shoes in the middle of winter, with or without tights. IMHO, since they are slingbacks and they seem like they have a light wood bottom and the color is so light, it looks much more appropriate for the spring/summer.

Thanks...the soles of the shoes are gold. I know what you're saying though...I'm just dying to wear them!

I should have known this...if you have to ask the question, you most likely already know the answer lol. I think I knew they aren't appropriate for this time of year...I just needed everyone to tell me. Thanks Chat Icon

I agree with wearing black with wooden jewelry--how do you think they would look with emerald green or red?

They are beautiful but I personally would be waiting until the first spring day with a nice new pedicure!

I too can't go without tights, and with the left over snow crap I wouldn't chance ruining them -- they are too special!

Wear them around the house to scratch the itch!

I would wear them with patterned tights. As long as the tights are dark. I MISS my heels!!!!!Chat Icon

I wore open toe last night (red) with black tights. Open toe works in the winter as long as you do it the right way. Chat Icon
