back acne

I know it's gross, but sometimes I breakout on my back. Mostly in the winter b/c of layering and all. I have sensitive skin and some sweaters bother me.
My face is clear... wish I could have both.

Any suggestions what to use? I'm using Neutrogena body wash now. I have gone to a Derm and put on meds, but that was b4 my wedding. We're going to Aruba in a couple of weeks so looking for something I can try now.

Thanks

Re: back acne

Any acne face wash will work.
Just get one of those back brushes or mesh sponges on the long handle so you can reach your back with it.

I like the "fake" pro-activ stuff they sell in Target and Ulta.

It's cheaper than Pro activ and contains the same ingrediants- plus much easier to get.

I don't know if this will help but I also make sure that after I condition my hair, I rinse it out and then clip it up and THEN wash my back. I found conditioner residue causes my back to break out.

I agree with this one and I still us a back was like neutrogena. I go to the gym and want to prevent breakouts.

Re: back acne

I feel you--I have struggled with "bacne" for ages. Sometimes it clears up and my back is perfect for a long time and then it will suddenly appear again. I have tried EVERYTHING! I recently went on a short cycle of antibiotics and an RX foam and it is clearing up. Believe it or not, Lever 2000 anibacterial soap is supposed to work wonders. You can't buy it in stores anymore. I have a ton of it. I bought it from Ebay. FM me your address and I'll send you a bar. You can also try Neutrogena back wash, but I never found it to be too effective.

Like another poster said, you have to wash you back last--and if you use any products with benzoyl peroxide, make sure you wash your armpits, between your legs (i know TMI) and privates really well w/ regular soap afterwards, because it will bleach your armpits and panties. I know all the tricks. Chat Icon
