who does their own taxes?
what do you use to do them? Do you do them with an online service....if you own a home, do you still do the free prep, or is it better to pay for one of the smaller prep packages?
We are thinking of doing our own this year...we have a mortgage to write off, a child, daycare, PMI, donations.

We use turbo tax. There is a fee because with a mortgage you are itemizing. If you were not itemizing, it would probably be free to file federal.

We use Tax Cut (or whatever it's called now via H&R Block). It's identical to TurboTax.

I used TurboTax for the first time this year and am so glad I did. It was SO easy and inexpensive. I did it right online.
