Cheaper to run propane or oil in modular?
DH and i have our meeting to start the process of designing our modular. We are getting a raised ranch with a underneath garage. They mentioned something about baseboard heat. Anyway, DH is wondering if it is cheaper to do propane heat or oil to heat the house?? Which do you use?

I've never heard of propane to heat the entire house. How big is the house?

It's a raised ranch. We will have a wood stove in the basement but they mentioned propane for heat, im just not sure it oil or propane id cheaper to run in conjunction with the woodstove...

I know that this was not your question but propane is MUCH more dangerous to run in to your home than oil. IMO if you have the choice, I would go with oil on that fact alone.
