Those of you not registering for a bedding set...
can you show me what you are getting? I can't find anything I love.
In particular I cannot find a bed skirt that is not part of a set that I love (at BRU or BBB). I was thinking of getting 6 sheets and a crib skirt but skipping on the bumpers, blanket and everything else for now.

Honestly all I bought was sheets and breathable bumpers.. I knew i wouldnt be using anything else that came with the bedding set i had orginally wanted (i.e bumpers, quilt, diaper stacker, valances)

We're doing the same, but I have yet to find a pretty crib skirt that is sold separately! So I registered for a plain one.
Everything we registered for is actually plain - I figure once baby arrives and we know it's a girl or a boy, we can add in some pretty accessories, but for right now, we're doing:
Ecru breathable bumper
Ecru crib skirt
Ecru sheets
alternate with
Chocolate brown sheets
Then also a Tiny Love crib mobile (which is mostly green and other colors)

I had the same problem! I wasn't really loving the theme stuff I ordered mine on babybeddingzone.com They have a ton to choose from and are reasonably priced. I found a lot of different sets that weren't in stores. HTH

I found a bedding skirt on PBK that I loved and it was on sale so I just ordered it. I guess I will just stick with the yellow sheets we were planning on and leave it at that.

Just doing plain sheets for the crib in solid colors on the lighter side. Not doing a bed skirt b/c I want a crib w/ drawers underneath, & know it will get in the way & make me crazy.
