i cut my hair, what else will help me look older? added pic to 1st post

from all your advice, i cut my hair last spring to try to look closer to my age (30).
but now i need something else.

what do y'all think?

Are you serious?! I wish that was a problem for me. I would not wear fake glasses - that seems silly to me. I am willing to bet your wardrobe probably needs updating to make you look more sophisticated. What kind of clothes do you usually wear?

people are very point blank about my age.
i wear sweater sets or a blouse and slacks during the week and suits on fridays and saturdays.

i dress business casual and conservately. (i'm a clergy person if that makes a difference...)

what about more makeup? do you wear heels? just trying to think about things without knowing what you look like....

i wear make up for services, but during the week, just lip gloss (i really don't like wearing make up...)

i wear heels on occasion (i have problems w/ my feet, so they have to be low heels or i wear flats)

i'm at work now, but i'll add a pic when i get home to show you what i look like

The cantor at my parent's temple is 25. She wears pencil skirts that are knee length or just below the knee with button down blouses. She wears pearls and pearl earrings. She also wears a kittel during services to make her look more professional.

I would not get glasses otherwise you will end up actually ruining your eyes and needing them. On a daily basis I would wear blush, powder, mascara and lipstick/gloss.

i could try wearing make up on a more regular basis and more jewelry.
we don't wear our robes except for the high holydays and only when there is a bar/bat mitzvah on a saturday morning.

i didn't think the glasses was a good idea either! lol

I got your FM! You are very pretty! I have curly hair too, and I often think that people associate curly hair with "cute" rather than sophisticated. That being said, I am not changing my curly hair, and neither should you!

Here's my honest opinion:

get your eyebrows done - something as simple as that can "pull" your entire look up and together. The thick part of your eyebrows, near the bridge of your nose, can be streamlined...you won't believe how it will change your look! Go to someone that is known for doing eyebrows, not just someone at your local nail salon.

Wear more makeup. Eyeliner, mascara, a little blush...and some lipgloss on a regular basis...(curling your lashes will help too) .it will literally take you less than 5 min but will make you feel better and will present a better 'you' to the world.

Also, some simple, but fun accessories (necklaces, earrings) can bring your look together and take the outfits that you wear now to a new level!

B. you don't want to look 'Older' you want to look more 'sophisticated' =)

I have really curly hair too, and people always think I'm 25 (I'm 31) and I wear a suit to work every day w/ heels and blah blah ..........

I agree w/ Alicia, changing your eyebrows, even just a little bit will make a huge difference, and a 5 minute makeup routine can be a lot more than you think -

Try a pencil skirt, a more fitted (not tight) sweater set, or tailored button down ........
