So next year...
Buffet style Sturdy chinet plates and bowls
I can't believe how overwhelming timing the food is and how many dishes there are!!!
I think it would be different in a house with more counterspace, but in our apartment, it's just too much.

You are so right..I know we always want to do it "right," but "right" means different things in different living situations...

Exactly!!! I love doing it all up. I can't wait to have HOLIDAY dishes and be able to use my grandmother's antique silverware and have linen napkins. But we don't have a dining room, nor a hutch to store those dishes and limited counter space in a very narrow gally kitchen, so even having help bringing dishes into the kitchen is overwhelming.
So until then, I'm going to keep it simple next year.
