my ankles ..

are soo swollen! i just noticed it starting a few days ago, but my fingers and hands aren't, only my ankles. really bad, too, my socks cut into my skin, and they ache real bad at night.

is it normal to just have your ankles swell? i thought everything swelled together. what do you do to ease the swelling/pain?

My ankles are really bad also, that I can no longer wear socks because they are so tight that it is cutting my circulation. It's horrible. My fingers are hands are also swollen. I don't know how far along you are but this all started for me in my 6th month and I am alsmost 33 weeks. The only advice I have is to keep your feet elevated, drink lots of water and avoid salty foods.

i'm about 31 weeks, and it's just my ankles, weird, i thought it'd be everything. good idea about the salty foods, i know this, but i never think about it!

Started as just my ankles with nothing else like 3 or 4 weeks ago, but over the weekend I noticed that my rings seem tighter. I can still get them on and off, but they are not comfortable anymore. I don't think that my hands look swollen, but I guess they clearly are at least a little.

My doctor said it could be the baby laying on your vena cava and that it's actually blood pooling up in my feet, not fluid. So when it happens, I am supposed to lay on my left side to take the pressure off of the artery. but I'm also carrying very low, which she said can cause this, too.
