I need help!!!!!!! Chat Icon I am so not good at this decorating thing!

We just bought a house and I finally picked out bedroom colors but now I have no idea for the main living space.

The living room and dining room are one big open space and then there is a half wall seperating the kitchen and dining room. I am thinking of painting the LR/DR one color and the kitchen a darker color but I am at a loss.

In the kitchen, the cabinets are white, appliances stainless and the counter is a black/gray/white combo. Any suggestions for paint color?
