provera

Before any of you were pregnant..did any of you have to take Provera because of missed periods? Were there any side effects? Did you become pregnant after taking it?

I took Provera 3x before getting pregnant with my son. I stopped taking the pill after 8 years and then wasn't getting my period. I went and had blood work done and everything was fine hormonally, so doc gave me a Rx for Provera to bring on my period and it did. We weren't really TTC at this point, I was just looking to get my cycles back on track.

After the period I got after Provera, I didn't get it again for 3 months, so I took it again. Then again 3 months later, at which time we wanted to TTC. I went in to see my doc the 4th time for more Provera and was going to start Clomid too, but as he wrote the RXs, the nurse came in and told me I was PG! So after the 3 round of Provera, I must have O'd on my own and got Pregnant.

After I had my son, my cycles were like clockwork. Very weird.

i got pregnant while on provera. i took it to bring on my period (very very irregular) and a week later, i got pregnant. didn't realize i was pregnant for three weeks or so, just thought the provera didn't work! no side effects that i noticed.
