And in great working condition. It is a subzero but was a stainless one that the prior homeowners covered with the cabinets...I was wondering if its possible to take them off? I think the kitchen would look better this way but I dont know if its doable.

If not, is it possible to order just fridge doors? And does anyone else have a subzero? I literally get dragged INTO the wall trying to open it, its ridiculous. I'm wondering if its that mines cabinet covered or if its because they're restaurant type fridges and it seals to keep the temp colder?

I don't know how old the refrigerator is- but there are different refrigerators that take panels- which is what you have- versus the ones that don't take panels... I feel like if your fridge HAS panels, I don't think you can just take them off- I think you would just have s/s trim.

maybe get the model number and call sub zero up?

yes- sub zeros are hard to open... you have to use force.

DH said that if you want to go back to Stainless steel, call up Sub Zero with the serial number and make/model of the fridge (it's on the sticker on the inside of one of the doors) and tell them you want the Stainles steel panels. So you'll be able to remove the cabinet panels and replace them with Stainless steel ones

Of course you have to pay but that's how you would get it backChat Icon

You probably cant take the panels off. We have a covered fridge and it is made differently to accept the panels. It shouldnt be that hard to open though.

I always need 2 hands, if I try with one I can't open it. DH laughs when he watches me drag myself into the refrigerator. Now when I go to other peoples homes and open the fridge (fam or friends, I'm not a random fridge fisher) I am so used to pulling hard that I like RIP the door open, lololChat Icon
