What are your little "jobs" in your home?
I was just talking to someone about fingernails and realized, strangely, that all the things in the house that require someone with fingernails falls to me. Like undoing tight knots or pulling stickers off new items.
Besides the major chores are there any little weird ones that either of you are solely responsible for that the other doesn't do?

every time we need to put a picture up I do it.. I think is that DH got tired of me saying "to the right, to the left, up down" lol so now I just get the hammer and the nails and do the job

Re: What are your little "jobs" in your home?
Me- putting away chicken from the grocery store into freezer bags, cooking meat, making the grocery list, cleaning the bathroom floor/toilet/vanity
DH- cutting up vegetables, vacuuming, dusting, taking out the garbage, cleaning the bathroom walls/tub, cleaning the kitty litter, anything to do with nails and a hammer
Once and a while we will flip flop, but usually we stick to our jobs

Anything that needs to be mailed somewhere, whether it's a package, a bill, a postcard... that's all me.
DH has to do all the things that involve electronics, like setting the time on the DVD player, unplugging the cable box and plugging it back in if the reception is off... I am perfectly capable of doing those things myself, but it's somehow become his "job."

Same in our house, LOL!
Anything food related whether shopping for it, putting it away, cooking it, etc. falls to me. He, however, loads and unloads the dishwasher and takes out the garbage. He doesn't do pots and pans, though.

setting the time on the DVD player
Yup! Rusty resets all the clocks in our house for daylight savings time. I could probably figure it out but have no inclination to.
I'm also the password keeper. Any pin numbers, passwords, even HIS pin number for HIS cellphone's voicemail is my responsibility.

I'd have to say sending out mail or packages is pretty much all mine too. I am also the one who changes the sheets, makes the bed, does the laundry and takes care of the bills.
Otherwise, DH is GREAT. He cooks.....he will clean up.....he will help me clean if I ask him to but it's rare that I ask him b/c I like to do it all myself. He helps put the groceries away.......takes the garbage out, does the leaves, maintains the property, finishes projects in our house, and also goes on the roof to clean my skylight.
ETA: He is also the bug killer. I cant do it! I scream......he kills.

Oh yea that's the other thing I do. Clean the shower drain and the vacuum roller because it's always my hair that's the problem.

You think YOU have that problem - in my house there is no question where the hair came from

Re: What are your little "jobs" in your home?
As far as "weird" jobs, I always get the fingernail related tasks. Not that I have long nails, but they are very strong, but not thick and gross looking. I can use them as screwdrivers....
When we go on long car trips, I'm always in charge of packing the car. I can seem to get almost 2x as much stuff into the same space as DW...

Same goes in my house. Thankfully the hub still digs it out of the drains for me

Re: What are your little "jobs" in your home?
My IT profesional husband, can't set the time on our answering machine--so that's my job everytime the power is out or we unplug & for daylights avings.
DH on the other hand always sets the timer for the outside light because it is weird you have to read the instructions each time & I don't have the patience.
I mail things, go to the ATM.
He is in charge of all things tall-windows, the kitchen exhaust vent...

yeah cin has this problem too...

And both of you have seen Rusty's hair, or lack thereof, so you know where the blame lies.
