Spinoff to baby food ??
What is your baby's favorite baby food?
Fruit: She loves apples, bananas, strawberries
Cereal: Oatmeal
Veggie: Sweet Potatoes

But If have to answer the others...
Specifically which fruit...
Bananas
Bananas & mixed berrys
Straw. apple banana
Cereal- oatmeal (its all we ever tried)
Veg- squash
Anyone use the cereal and fruit in one thats in the jar??? How do you like it?

I did and Julia didnt like it at all, it does taste a little weird, yes I tried it.
Speaking of trying it...
The other night Ry was eating pineapple and pears.. and I was doing:
One for baby, one for mommy, one for baby, one for mommy....
Fruit is the only baby food Ill eat!

Emily didn't seem to like pears and pineapples but I only tried giving it to her 2 times so far.
Okay -- what about meats? My pediatrician told us to try meats and we tried turkey & sweet potatoes which she HATED and pears & chicken which she seems to like.

Same for me. Wait till you get to the meats or maybe you already did, my DH was like what is that smell and I didnt notice it, so he came over to Julias food bowl and almost gagged he said the beef with gravy smelt like cat food. Julia loves it though...lol

I don't know really! I thought it was early but the dr said it was fine. I still haven't even tried her on green veggies or barley ---
but the pediatrician said to try it and we did. they are very watery.
I'm not pushing her on it. if she doesn't like it I'm just going to give up for the time being because I think a lot of people start them later.

Hmmm Ry goes to the DR on the 4th- I wonder if he'll tell me to start them???
How bad is it... that I dont force the veg. on Ryan...
If he gives me a hard time- I just give him fruit (I mean I want him to eat...and sometimes he just refuses those veggies!!)

So my ped. will prob rec'd it for Ryan at his next visit..
He'll be a little over 6 months!

I would really try to give him the veggies (IMO) it will be harder to give it to him later on if he doesnt get at least some of it now, even if you put very little in the bowl and mix it with his favorite fruit.

Sometimes... he puts him self in hysterics over this (DS is VERY dramatic) and then refuses to eat anything...He is sooo stubborn!

I know it can be very hard! Julia use to be this way over some of her foods, but I just keeped giving it to her untill she got use to them, if I didnt she would never eat any of her foods. Just give it a little time, you will see he will start to develope a taste for it (hopefully)--lol

Its so bad because DH and I eat NO veg (except for corn on the cob- if you wanna consider it a veg) and I dont want RJ to be as picky as us!!!
Isnt it so funny, how the have a complete mind of their own?

Its very funny, when Julia was picky about what I use to give her she would take the first spoonful, then automatically lower her head and keep it there till I put the bowl into the sink--lol it was the funniest thing. Now since I didnt give up feeding her the veggies, she eats like a pro.

A lot of people dont start solids until after 6 months so I figure it's before 6 months now so if she doesn't like it it's still a head start.
I know they say to try something 10-15 times to get a baby to like it but I've found that if they don't like it the first few times they aren't going to like it later on.
However I'd still keep offering it to him -- I do that with the meats -- and sneak in bites inbetween her favorite fruits/veggies. I don't want her to be picky so at least I think I need to try.

ALL my daughter will eat is oatmeal, pear, prunes and sweet potatoes.
We've dabbled in peas and a couple of other things but I cannot get her to eat them on a regular basis.
