Re: Pork Chops

I am made Pork Milanese yesterday! It was delicious.

You pound the pork cutlets thin and then dredge them in seasoned flour (flour, salt, pepper and a dash of Italian seasoning). You dip the dredged pork in egg mixture (2 eggs, splash of water, tablespoon of sour cream) and then dip in breadcrumbs and then pan fry about 5 minutes per side in vegetable oil. Squeeze a little lemon onto the finished cutlet and DONE! I used tortellini with a parsley butter sauce as a side.

Another favorite is smothered chops. I sprinkle chops with seasoned salt and pepper then dredge them in flour and fry them in a little vegetable oil on the stove just to brown them. Once they are browned (not cooked through) I remove them and put a big sliced sweet onion (Spanish or Vidalia) in the pan with a pat of butter and saute until it's cooked down.. about a minute. I add in about 3 tablespoons of flour and make a roux. Warm up 1 cup of chicken stock and 1 cup of beef stock and put that in the pan.. it should thicken as it comes to a boil - but it will NOT be very thick at this point.. probably enough to coat the back of a spoon or a little thicker. If it is REALLY thick you may want to add a bit more beef stock. I usually add a little season salt and pepper to taste and then put the chops back into the gravy. Reduce the heat and cover it up. It should cook about 20 minutes more and the gravy will get thicker. If the gravy is still too loose after 25 minutes, then take out the chops and add a little bit of flour and bump up the heat and whisk until it gets to a nice consistancy.

Outside of that.. I just bathe them in a marinade and grill them (usually soy, ginger, lemon and olive oil or just a barbecue sauce).

Good luck!

Re: Pork Chops

Take center cut pork chops, egg them, bread them in Corn Flake crumbs- pour on duck sauce( I put it on thick) and bake till cooked thru - so yummy and easy. It is the only way I make them now. HTH

Re: Pork Chops

i usally just throw them in a zip lock with low sodium soy sauce and goldmans mustard for a few minutes and cook on a grill pan or bbq.....come out great every time.

You can make them bone in or out...i usually poke them with a fork before I throw them in the marinade to help the flavors seep in.

this i also good for steak....DH loves it both ways. Chat Icon

Re: Pork Chops

you probably ate already but I marinate my pork chops in teriyaki sauce. Before I cook the pork chops I saute an onion (chopped) and a cup of sliced mushrooms until soft. Then I remove the mushrooms/onions and cook the pork chops, I buy the thin ones so about 5 minutes on each side. Then I add the mushrooms and onions back to the pan, cook on low and cover for about 10 minutes.

Re: Pork Chops

Easy and delish!

BBQ Beer Pork Chops
* 6 pork chops (thin sliced)
* garlic powder
* 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer (Corona is the best - I've tried other kinds and they
don't taste the same)
* 1 (18 ounce) bottle bbq sauce
* 1 onion, sliced

* Season pork chops with garlic powder and brown on both sides. Remove from pan.
* Pour beer into pan, stir to get all the crust from the pork chops off the bottom of the pan.
* Pour in bbq sauce. Stir together.
* Add pork chops and onions.
* Cover and simmer on low for 1 hour.

The sauce is great on mashed potatoes and as a salad dressing.
