Need help with area rug

My SIL has the same exact counch in their playroom! She has a tan area rug with a solid border color that matches the color of the flowers.

That's what I did today. I picked up a rug from Target, but the red in the rug (the border) is much darker than the flowers in the couch. I feel like I'm so bad at this stuff!

i have desert tan in the kitchen. i suggest a solid sage rug.
