STAR re-finance question
I applied for the BASIC star exemption last year when we bought our home.
We got the approval letter on it months ago.
Now we just re-financed our home w/ the lower mortgage rates and was wondering if we need to re-file. It says on the nassau county webpage that you do not normally need to re-file this paper unless there is a change in the deed.
Is this considered a change in the deed since we are still the same owners?
Thanks

Re: STAR re-finance question
We did not refile for STAR when we refinanced. You still own the home so there was no change in the deed.

Re: STAR re-finance question
No need to re-file. The deed is completely different from the mortgage.
