Question....

Jacob will be 13 weeks old this wed, and i am wondering what to buy him for entertainment. He can hold his head up pretty well but do u think its too soon for the excersaucer? he has the bouncy seat and a swing (the swing is mainly for napping) and an ocean wonders sound and lights aquarium thingee... but i feel he's getting bored in those same things. Any suggestions?? Thanks!! Chat Icon

Oh and I bought the gymini but returned it cause he just wasnt impressed by the whole lay there and look at hanging toys things...

Re: Question....

I think that our Gymni is definately the best toy we've ever gotten, but I have to admit that it wasn't until she was like 4 months that she really started liking it for longer periods of time. Now she's sort of outgrown it though because she's more on the move so we usually just put a big blanket on the floor with ltos of toys so she can roll all over.

Personally I think the gymni is a musthave though. I don't have an exersaucer because I like to let her be more mobile but I knjow a lot of moms swear by them.

Re: Question....

Katie really just started likeing her gymini too at 3 1/2 months.

We just bought her an exersaucer and she seems to really like it, but she is a little to small for it so she has trouble being in it for too long.
She gets a little frustrated because she can't reach the toys.

Re: Question....

I think it's definitely too soon for an exersaucer. Because Jacob has torticollis - I would definitely ask the pediatrican before I'd consider putting him in.

Honestly, the best thing you can do, is tummy time. It will build up their stomach, arm & leg muscles. The faster he gets used to it, the easier time you'll have with it.

At 13 weeks, he doesn't need that much entertainment. Watching you fold wash, clean, etc & talk to him is enoough.
