Shoe repair?

I am looking for a recommendation for a shoe repair in the Plainview/Syosset/Woodbury area for a pair of boots..several people told me that a good shoemaker can make the calves wider without being noticed...I'm willing to try this...any recs?

There is a place near the Bethpage train station I've gone to a few times...I think its called Jimmy's. Its right on Stewart Ave.
