bottles at 5 1/2 weeks

HOw much formula should Sara be drinking in each bottle. I just started making her 5 oz. bottles for her next feeding although I dont think she will drink it all. She weighs 10 pounds 4 ounces

My son's pediatrician told me to give my son half of what he weighs in ounces. So when he was 10 lbs, he was getting 5 oz of formula. When he weighed 12 lbs, he got 6 oz. When he hit 6.5 oz bottles 5 times a day the pediatrician told me not to go over that. He told me babies aren't supposed to drink more than 32 oz of formula per day.

alyson is almost 3 months old and I make her 6 oz bottles. Sometimes she ***** them dry (which you aren't supposed to do....they start sucking air) and other times she leaves 2 oz over!

I have the same problem! Its so annoying and a waste of milk.

I was told about an ounce for each kg (2.2lbs)...so that would be about 4.5. Danielle weighs the same, and I put 4.5 oz. in her bottle, sometimes she finishes it, sometimes she doesn't. I hate wasting BM, and when I put 5 in one day, she left 1/2 - 1 oz in the bottle each time, so I put less.
