How perfectly PATHETIC is this?
After searching high and low for a year, we finally found the bedroom set of our dreams.
We price shopped for months (literally) and ordered our stuff a few months ago. We learned last month that half of it is ready now, but the other half won't be ready until December at the EARLIEST.
So, our bed and armoire are at the house now and DH called to tell me they're taking the armoire back and issuing a full refund because it DOESN'T FIT UP THE STAIRS.
And, the headboard will have to be "broken down" and reassembled upstairs.
This is SO my life. It really is.

Completely sympathize. This is how my entire house buying, moving experience has been.

Re: How perfectly PATHETIC is this?
i'm so sorry- that happened to us with a couch- we didnt measure the doorway & we couldnt get it in the house- they had to redeliver it and of course they charged us an extra $200 to dis-assemble it and re-assemble it
so dont worry you arent the only one

How about taking the window out and hoisting it that way? That is how my brother moved in and out.

We actually removed our banister to get our new bedroom set up the stairs. It was ugly and needed replacing anyway. Only problem is, I'm never getting it out!
