Spanx or something else?
I bought a new dress for my birthday tomorrow and it fits great, but I would like a little extra help. Anyone have spanx? Do they work? Anyone have any recommendations for something better? I posted a pic of the dress. I love it. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Spanx or something else?
wow that's gorgeous
i have spanx and also a pair of shorts that are like spanx but came from target. both work pretty much the same, the spanx are a bit tighter and therefore work better.
so it depends on how much "help" you need

Re: Spanx or something else?
I recently bought a pair of Spanx to help with the after-baby bulges and if I hadn't bought them out of state (at a dept store we don't have here), I would have returned them.
I didn't feel like they did anything for me.

Re: Spanx or something else?
I have used both Spanx and the Target version. IMO, Spanx works much better and are worth the $$$.

I LOVE my spanks! You can still eat and still look fabulous in a tight sweater dress with those things.

Re: Spanx or something else?
Thanks everyone!!! I tried on the spanx and as I think it did a good job smoothing me through the hips, it didn't have the belly support I was looking for. So I ended up with a thing made by Jockey in Kohls. That puppy seems to do the trick. Wearing it tonight, so we'll see.
