Re: After Closing

We just closed on Wednesday. We had planned on buying new bedroom furniture (a must), living room furniture (a must), dining room (needed but not an emergency), and den furniture UNTIL i saw my savings account get lower and lower.

We are going to be very conservative with what we buy and use the towels and bathroom accesories and kitchen stuff that we already have. I'd love to get new, but all of that gets very expensive. I'd rather make sure we can make all our bills okay and then start shopping.

Re: After Closing

we are closing on Monday. we'll only have a couple thousand left over in savings BUT we are going to do the tax amendment to get the $8000 tax credit as soon as possible so that can go into savings as well.

we are lucky that we don't need anything new at all - we have all of our furniture already b/c we used to rent a house - and my ILs are paying to have the house painted, which will save us a lot of money too.

it's scary but once you've settled in and know all of your expenses you can work on a new savings plan. Chat Icon
