Dog not eating...
One of my dogs hasnt been eating that well. we have to seperate her in a different room when she eats cuz the other dogs will try to steal her food (we have 6 dogs, shes the smallest, they all pick on her). we leave her in there for a little while and when we go to let her out, her food hasnt been touched. she is still eating snacks and drinking, acting totally normal. its not everyday but most days. because shes not showing any other signs of being sick, im thinking it might have something to do with the other dogs? i worry about her not eating, shes always been on the skinner side and since this started i think she is even skinnier so its not like she can afford to miss a meal. does anyone have any experiance with anything like this? is this something i should take her to the vet for? any advice would be apprechiated

Re: Dog not eating...
why dont you try giving her something new... My dog go through that phase from time to time (not eating as much as he usually does) so I give him something different.

This may sound silly, but what about spending time with her when she eats? If you make it her "special" time, maybe that would help her deal with whatever the problem is. I know you may not have the time to do that...just an idea. I think I would call the vet and talk to them just in case.

my dog usually won't eat unless someone is in the room with her. You can try putting a little bit of cheese in her food or a few treats.

My dog is like this too. He kind of likes an audience. Also, during the summer when it's really hot, his eating habits totally change.. he becomes very finiky and leans towards more of a free feeding eating style.

sometimes my fil is in the room with her(we put her in his bedroom). tonight she didnt eat so a little while later i tried again and she ate, im thinking maybe shes just not hungry at 5 when we usually feed them dinner.
