This is more of a vent than anything else, but I am beginning to freak out over the fact that we have not yet gotten a final confirmation/commitment from our credit union for our mortgage. we were pre-approved and our mortgage guy keeps saying we're fine but our financing contingency is up as of next Monday. Don't know if the appraisal has happened yet and our Realtor wont' order the termite inspection until the appraisal has happened. I'm just worried (probably irationally) that it's not going to happen in time, and I don't know what we'll do.
I left messages today for both our mortgage broker and our Realtor, and didn't get a call back from either yet.
Please say some prayers for us that this all goes through. We put down a big EMD and the thought of losing that has my stomach in knots.
Uhhh, I can only imagine how fustrated you must feel, lots of that it all goes well.. remember sometimes no news is good news... its something I am trying to live by right now too
I hope it goes through... I'm trying to remember back to when we purchased - I feel like a lot came down to the nitty gritty and just when I thought we weren't getting anything - everything magically fell into place! I hope this (and it probably will) happens for you as well!!!
If it makes you feel better we were in the same boat. Mortgage guy said we were fine and we got it 2 days prior to the contingency date. I know our bank (Wells Fargo) is backed up with a lot of refis so that might be going on everywhere!
