What to do, what to do....I hate this wall (with pics)

I have this wall behind my couch that has been blank for 3 years. Its drives me CRAZY! I dont want to do a large picture or a photo frame collage and I cant decide what to do with it, and on a budget.

Ive always wanted to do a giant organic shaped or, loosely nature inspired decal or something of some type. i was originally going to find a pattern I like and project it on the wall and paint it in, but thats too labor intensive. What I picture in my head is like above, starts out behind the couch to the right and they comes up and over the couch, kind of branch like, but could be scroll work or something. I wouldnt even know where to find something decal like that.

So Ive just left it blank, any ideas?
By the way, the curtains and accent pillows have changed since this picture was taken. Ive attached pics of the drapes/ As for the pillows they are similar to the ones here but with a brown background.

While Im at it, any other ideas to spice up or accessorize the room, its not quite where I want it yet anyway.

(oh and in case you are wondering what I was thinking bc there are 3 little shadow boxes all the way in the left hand corner of said wall, is bc our TV unit and TV used to be on that wall and I just never moved them.)

Ok, one of my new favorite ideas, which I've yet to try is to cover foam core with a really great fabric that you like and then it makes it look like a custom print. You just foam core in the size you want, then a fabric or some sort that you like that's a little larger than the foam core, and use spray adhesive to keep it on the foam core. Let me see if I can find pics.

Ok, these are collage style, but I happen to like the look of using two really big panels, but at least you can get an idea of what I'm talking about.

i woyld get one of those phrase things from target or kohls... otherwise, id get a nice stencil pattern and brown paint and do that...

They sell wall decals. Check out whatisblik nd just do a search-someone just posted a nice one in a baby nursery I think-I can't remember who...

I also think the stencil idea is great with a mirror underneath/or on each side.

There are over 600 pages of options (just search wall decal or narrow it down by searching tree wall decal or something) And you can choose your colors for most of them.

DH and i plan on getting a large mirror with a nice decorative frame for behind out couch, i love that look, and it makes the room seem bigger.

I did a mirror collage behind my couch. I want to say it cost me under $50. I'm very happy with the outcome.

What about a decal? We have a huge blank space in our 2 story foyer and put a saying up between the door and the window.... We got it from this site: Trading Phrases
