Oil Heat
On average, how much did you spend on oil last winter? Just trying to get a ballpark on what to expect on the new house since we have gas right now. Thanks!

Re: Oil Heat
$2200 last year.
Our rate was a hybrid of $2.29/gal and $2.39/gal.

Re: Oil Heat
I am curious about this as well. my Fiancee and I are buying a home with oil heat and i just wanted to get an idea of the cost of that vs. gas, as we are thinking about converting but want to know if it is worth the cost. Thanks!

Re: Oil Heat
we just bought an oil heated house ourselves and the company tried to enroll us in the budget plan of 320 bucks a month, every month......to "save us the big expense of the winter"....well thanks but no thanks....how can u budget for us if this the first year we will be in the house???? we are only 2 people who keep the temp cool but comfy for the winter, not a family of 4 who God only knows how they had the temp set for the winter.....
we did a pay as you go plan and so far they came once to start to fill the "empty" tank the sellers left us and it cost just over 500 bucks.....
i have no idea how much the winter will cost us but after we really see how much we use then we can talk about the budget plan
