Daily disposable contacts
Can you sleep with them in? Someone told me once a long time ago you shouldnt sleep with contact in b/c they can get "lost" in your eye and it has stuck with me. I don't mean overnight...but for a nap.

Re: Daily disposable contacts
I do biweekly's and have fell asleep with them on, like a nap. They just tend to get dry and stick. Nothing will happen.
I never wear mine to sleep. I like taking them out and wearing glasses to watch tv.

Re: Daily disposable contacts
I have taken plenty of naps with my daily contacts in -- sometimes I just need some eyedrops when I wake up.

I have fallen asleep with mine in as well. They are usually just dry when I wake up.

Re: Daily disposable contacts
if you fall asleep its no biggie but if you can help it I would advise you to take them off before laying down. I have had plenty of problems having it lost in my eye and its painful to dig out of the under side of your eyelid.

Re: Daily disposable contacts
I don't wear daily disposables, but I do wear 2-week disposables that I take out each night.
I have taken many naps with them in , but never over night. No issues, just don't try and take them out after a nap! Wait until your eyes get lubricated again!

Re: Daily disposable contacts
I wear focus night and day contacts. I leave them in for a month. They never bother me, I sleep with them every night. When a month is up I pop them out and put in another pair. These contacts very breathable so it's okay to have them in your eyes all the time. The only downside is that I have noticed my vision getting worse and worse since I am always wearing them

Re: Daily disposable contacts
I have fallen alseep (naps and even overnight) with my 2 weeks contacts. I've woken up with them still in place but very dry.
They have gotten "lost" when I've rubbed my eye too much. That was pretty scary and once took 30 minutes to find it and get it out.

Re: Daily disposable contacts
I think it's really th toric lenses that shouldn't be worn overnight. but I do it anyway. I have 2 weekers (which I usually wear for a month) and I sleep in them probably 4-5 nights a week.
I occassionally lose my right contact (non-toric) in the corner of my eye if I rub it too much, but it's pretty easy to get it out. it's not like it's going to go back into your brain.

I actually once had a contact get lost in my eye, I had to go to an eye doctor and she said she had never seen one slide that far back in the eye. It was really freaky!
