I'm SO happy, I finally found an angel to grace my garden
I've been looking for garden art, statues, etc. for a while now. I am REALLY picky. What I really want are female statues that can be angels or fairies but not overly religious.
This is by far my favorite statue in Central Park, the Angel of the Waters fountain:
I took that picture in 2005, a few months before DH proposed to me in front of her.
Today, we went to the crafts fair at Deepwells Farm in St. James and stopped by the General Store. We've lived here for almost 2 years but had never been in there.
That's where I found her, the first piece of garden art that I want to put in my garden:
The base says:
"Plant kindness and simplicity in the garden of your soul"
I'm really happy today!
If you know of any good place for outside garden decor, please share it. I looked up the manufacturer of the statue, but they don't have a catalog online and they only sell to retailers.

We use http://www.designtoscano.com
http://www.designtoscano.com/category/garden+statues/fantasy+statues/fairy+statues.do
They are resin, so they are light enough to ship, and move around. I got this one recently:

Re: I'm SO happy, I finally found an angel to grace my garden
I really don't know where I'm going to put her yet, I'm thinking in the small beds I'm putting next to the patio. So she has more visibility when I have people over.
Backyard is... coming along! We decided not to sod. We're going to wait till fall to put top soil and seed down, to increase our chances of good germination. In the meantime, believe it or not, I'm STILL putting plants in the ground from my spring plant order.
I only have about 15 left. Slowly but surely.

That sounds like a great place to put her. Can't wait to see it all done.
Glad to know I'm not the only one with dirt for a backyard.
Please I still haven't planted my succulants.
