Hearing that stung a little.....

A friend of mine came back from maternity leave.

After discussing the oohs and aahs of her beautiful baby, she proceeds to tell me she cant wait to go home to see her b/c she is sooo adorable.

That stung......a lot worse than a bee bite.

She has no idea what Im goin thru.....its totally innocent.......on Day 2 of AF....... Terrible timing to hear it...........

ugh, i am so sorry ... its the worst when AF is in town too.. like you said its innocent, but at the same time.. stings very much..

I just wonder sometimes if I'll ever get the opportunity to say that about my own. Is it so hard to ask for? LOL

I used to love AF years ago!

ugh...I totally hear you.
I got AF yesterday and then found out a girl at work is pregnant with her 2nd. She got married a year after me....
I also got in touch with an old friend on FB and found out she had a baby too.
It totally sucks.

I totally hear you. My boss came in yesterday with her 3 month old. She looked at me and said, "I don't know if you guys are thinking about it, but it's the most amazing feeling in the world..." I just smiled and walked away with tears in my eyes.

Now you would think someone who went through fertility treatments herself might be cautious of what she says to people. She was very open with her infertility treatments, I however am not. I am not holding it against her, she just doesn't know my situation.

I am sorry that this upset you.

I'm so sorry! I totally understand the hurt that statement caused. A slap in the face would have hurt a lot less for sure!!!!!!

IF sucks! that this entire board will overcome it and fight it!!!

Ugh..that's the worst. I have 4 friends who are pregnant right now...and it's really hard. Also..I have 2 friends who are just TTC this month for the first time and I know if I hear one of them gets their BFP I'll be crushed. It's crazy that IF makes you think like that..but I really this it's unavoidable.

Yeah, my friend just did something like that the other day to me. I'm having a college reunion at our house this year and we have an outdoor fireplace and we were talking about how safe it would be for the kids etc... and she blurts out "well its not like any of us have any babies anymore". And I felt myself about to fall in a big black whole and pulled myself out of it. I think my friend realized what she said right after because there was totally silence on the phone and she then changed the subject. That hurt though. There should at least be one...ya know. Why isn't there one? Mine!!!

I'm sorry - I know how tough that is. Try to go do something for yourself or cry it out if you need to and just know one day that will be you talking about going home to see your beautiful baby!
