How many sizes can you have a skirt taken in?

How many sizes can you have a skirt taken in?
I know 1 size is no problem, but is 2 doable? I have a skirt I love that is big on me now at a size 8 (it's a 10). But I plan on losing a little more weight, so I think I'll wear it big now and take it in when I'm done with my weight loss.

I have a skirt that I love. I have had it taken in about 2 sizes. Its aline so the seamstress said it was easy to do.
