closing
when you all agreed on a date for closing between seller and buyer, did the seller always take that extra month past the contract date to actually get out?

Re: closing
They were out the day after the closing. Your contract says a month? Our contract only allowed for 5 days, and then they had to pay us $250 a day after that.

Re: closing
We didn't give her any extra days after closing to stay there without paying.
If you are referring to the line in your contract that says the closing will be set on/about whatever date, and not an actually agreed upon date, then yes, she took some of that time and the closing was set for like 3 weeks after the date on the contract.

August 1st is just an about date. You have to close within 30 days of August 1st, meaning you can close anywhere between August 1st and September 1st.
If you close August 1st and the seller wants to remain in the house for 30 days, they pay you rent, and then another walk through is done before handing over the keys to you. Money would also remain in escrow just in case there is other damage to the house.
Our on or about date was September 24th and we closed on September 26th. Our sellers were out that day.

Re: closing
our on or about day was 6/10, we only signed contract at the end of may. we will be closing around 7/10 - so yes we took the full 30 days but the buyer knew that...
the day of closing we will be out of the house
