Bob's Stores

Hi! I've never posted on this section before but I have a question re: Bob's stores and couches (in general).

First, we were looking at couches at Bob's Stores but were recently told to steer clear b/c the furniture was inferior. Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with them?

Second, I was wondering...what would be a better choice for a living room couch - leather or microfiber? We have a 4 1/2 yr. old, a 5 month old. and a dog (who would not be allowed on it but...).

I never bought anything from there but my good friend did. She was happy with the furniture but was very unhappy with the delivery.
First she ordered a couch and the small, i guess you would call them legs (?) were missing. She had to wait 2 months for them to be replaced.
Then she ordered a coffee table it was delivered twice with large scratches. When I went with her to the store the saleslady said they deliver it to their warehouses but then a seperate company delivers to homes so I guess with being transported twice its more likely to get damaged

We got our couches from there & I honestly really love them. They aren't the highest quality ever, but they still look great & they've held up well even with a 3 year old climbing all over them everyday. Personally, for the price I feel they are worth it. I am considering getting some bedroom furniture from there in a few months.

I do agree with the above poster though, the delivery S*CKS. They use an outiside moving company. They came over about 2 hours before the scheduled time frame. They also pushed the doorknob through the wall (which I warned them might happen & I offered to remove the door). I called the phone number the men gave me to have it repaired & I was told it would take about 8 weeks to have someone come look at it & then decide about getting it repaired. So it could be about 12 weeks before they even fixed it. I ended up doing it myself

4 couches delivered....All broken. I am guessing it was the way the delivery guys put it down when taking out of the truck, but it took 4 couches and DH threatening to throw the furniture threw their window to get our money back. The delivery guys also scratched up our hallway, really bad. We still have our bedroom set from there and it is such poor quality. I would never buy anything from them ever again!

we didnt get our couches from them, but we did get our dining room set.
a week b4 delivery the store called me to tell me one of the chairs came to the warehouse damaged and that it would take another week for a replacement to come in.

the delivery men didn't damage anything.
