Need Help picking a Rug, Calling all Designers :)
Here is a picture of my sectional and chair, my walls are beige. I would love NOT to have to get a solid carpet, but do not want to clash with the chair.
The area rug would be infront of the sectional, under the coffee table. The chair is on the other side, but still in view.
Can i do a contempory patterned rug, or should i stick with the solid (safe but boring). Any ideas on a patern? TIA

i would say a solid rug and maybe spice it up with some stripe pillows for the couch.

I agree. A pattern rug and this chair (gorgeous by the way  ) might be too much. You might take away from the chair being noticed in the room because of the rug. KWIM? Either solid or something that has a very dull pattern to it. What about FLOR tile rugs? They have a lot of colors to choice from and you can make designs or just solid or you could do stripes with the carpet tiles. If you are really set on a rug with colors, I would get muted colors to go with the room, nothing to bold.

Ooh good idea with floor tiles, we have a dog and random nieces and nephews that like to track mud in from the yard. Good call, i will have to check that out.
We have a fairly large living room (29ft) so i was kind of hoping to break off sections using area rugs, its just such an akward space, bowling alleyish, sigh.
I purchased the sectional at Macy's (on sale). And the armless chair is from Target !! ha
Thanks for the ideas ladies, and i will try to post pics soon.
