2 offers in 2 days
Whoo hooo we finally put offers on two homes we like. One we love but needs mucho TLC and so far has two other offers on it so we might not get it but the seller is keeping us in mind.
The second one we like but do not love, needs TLC only on the first floor but otherwise it is fine and we just put the offer in 5 minutes.
SO WISH US LUCK ON ONE OF THE PROPERTIES!!!!

Re: 2 offers in 2 days
Good luck Jenn!! I really hope one of them works out for you! Sidenote: obviously I’m still pretty dumb when it comes to this stuff since I just went through the homebuying process, but I had no idea you could offer on more than one house at the same time—what if they both accepted? I’m sure there’s some kind of contingency in the offer and I’m just uninformed hehe…
Keep us posted (I’m sure you will!!)

I didn't know either but or Real Estate Agent told us since the other looks like it won't happen to do this other one. I guess if both said yes you can back out since your not in contract. Only when you sign a contract is it pretty secure the transaction. This is why you get the inspection done prior to contract.
Edit: Bad news both offers rejected. Back to square one. Hopefully we will find something so we can close with in six months from the 26 otherwise we loose our program funding

I dunno my real estate lady didn't say anything about a "counter offer" she just one property had other offers and the second house had an offer for 1k over the asking price which is 10k more then we can afford.

Re: 2 offers in 2 days
We must be in the Town of Babylon (per our assistance program) Lindenhurst/West Babylon/East Farmingdale preferred.
Must be no more then 225/30K for a final price we can pay closing fees taxes need to be under 9,500K
2 bedrooms min.
Other then that we really don't care, we are willing to fix up a place but don't want to have to dump a ton of money in it right away so something you can at least live in or just renovate a bathroom if the kitchen needs work then we are looking at a price of around 215/220 so we have the money to rip out and install a new one.
I really think we are s### out of luck as far as right now - maybe we really need to consider leaving LI.

Re: 2 offers in 2 days
Thank you for looking - we truly appreciate it! It was perfect that was the house we put a bid on. It is probably going to sell for around $230 if not more since we told our RE that we would pay up to $220 for it even knowing it needs new electric, asbestos removed and a new oil tank but I guess our offer wasn't good enough.
I bet some jerk is going to tear it down and build a jumbo house on the property. That house was amazingly built. We planned on adding our own extension on it (built by us and our brother in law who is a master carpenter) and now ugh oh well.

I'm sorry it didn't work out. I honestly believe it means that there is something else out there for you guys. DH and I are house hunting too and I know how stressful of a process it is.
We just put in an offer on a foreclosure and now we just have to wait to hear back from them. It has only been two days and Im already going crazy!
