Can my maltese have pimples on his back?

Just within the last couple of weeks I found what looks like a large whitehead on his back. Then I found three more. Does this happen normally to dogs??? he is almost 5 years old and healthy in every way.

I have not changed a thing with his food or treats, and he is basically an indoor dog. When he goes out he iis on leash and doesn't get into bushes or any place where we aren't watching. The only difference is that we put our house up for sale and his routine is totally messed up. People come in and he barks non-stop or we take him out in the car a lot more on week-ends. Can this be stress? , alhtough it really isn't as funny to us as it sounds.

my dog had some pimples develop on the top of her head and I watched them for a few days.. they scabbed over and fell off. If they hadn't cleared in just the few days I was going to bring her to the vet.
