J. Crew rave!
I just have to say I had a great experience with J. Crew customer service.
I have a four year old coat that I love but the lining is all ripped in about three different places. I wrote to J. Crew customer service to ask of they do repairs because I don't want a new one. They told me that they don't offer repairs but if I get a quote from a local tailor to put in a new lining, they will send me a gift card to make up for the money spent.
Wow! I love them more now than ever!

Wow that is really nice! Last year I went in with a pair of flip flop sandals that cost me a ton and fell apart the second time i wore them - they wouldn't do ANYTHING for me!

Write to customer service. I have found that sometimes the salespeople won't do anything because many of them are young and don't really care. But the customer service department has always been great to me.
I basically wrote them a nice letter telling them I have been a loyal customer for the last 15 years and I want to continue to shop from them. They acknowledged that and thanked me and then told me to send me the estimate.
I have returned things to them that I found unsatisfactory and they never argue.
If you still have the flip flops, mail them back to them with a letter. I can almost guarantee they will do something for you!

I agree. A few years ago I had a similar experience. I had bought a sweater three years prior and it lost its shape. I called customer service and I sent the sweater back and got a new one. Luckily they still had the same sweater, it was a few years ago, maybe ten?

I have always had great experiences with them. I sent back a few sweaters a few months ago. One was 7 years old and they sent me merchandise credit for what I paid then (good thing I have a J Crew credit card and they could look it up).

wow i wish i had read this earlier.. i just threw out a jcrew sweater that lost its shape!!!! i wouldve loved a new one
