Playtex Drop Ins
For those of you that registered for these bottles, do we need a bottle warmer (would the bottle even go in one of those) or do we just put it in a pot of hot water. Thanks

Re: Playtex Drop Ins
i used a bottle warmer and hated it.. it would make the liquid tooo hot!! and that would just delay giving my dd her bottle.. ugh. My sil used one of those plug in tea pots and used that water, by pouring the water into a bowl and placing bottle in that.. I started doing that and it worked out great!! warmed the liquid without it getting too hot.

also if your planning on giving Breast milk.. you shouldnt use a bottle warmer anyway.. I read that kills all the vital nutrients in the breast milk. another reason I stopped using.

Oh that's good to know, I didn't know about that. I do plan on giving breast milk. I really need to rent that video that everyone on here keeps raving about.

SO how do you give it to the baby? It comes out of the nipple warm no? Do you just thaw frozen bags and serve room temp? I honestly thought you had to heat it up.

Re: Playtex Drop Ins
I am pretty sure you cannot use a bottle warmer for the drop-ins. It would melt the liner.

Re: Playtex Drop Ins
I use the Playtex Drop Ins and I used a bottle warmer at first BUT it melted the bottom of the bottles. Hot water from the tap works great for heating up the formula..........because the bottom is open the water heats the liquid in the bag nicely.

It doesn't melt the liner.........just the bottom of the actual bottle. It warps them.
