i'll be the bad guy and say that while it's great you have been doing your numbers...you don't know what numbers they want you to stick too..
i'm REALLY surprised that the doc hasn't called you on it. When they called to tell me i failed my one hour, they were like, 'we can't let you get off the phone until we have an appointment for your 3 hour'.

yea I hear ya, but last time it was below 120 for after meals and below 90 when waking up and it has been in the same area as it was last time. when I went to my 20 week appt, he did not even ask if I went I brought it up and was like so can you write me a script to go to a lab and the dr. said o no it is to early to fail, i was like ummm i did and he did not seem like it was urgent... i kow it is and I will get around to it in the next week or so, it is just so hard to find 3 hours working full time having a toddler and going to grad school 2 times a week......

I think you should go for 3 hours, just b/c theres more to GD than just taking blood. You also need to make sure your having doctors apts when your supposed to, to keep eye on babys growth progress. I would try and get the 3 hour done and just makes sure.

he said it was too early????? I failed at 16 and then 17 weeks...
I hear ya loud & clear on the no time thing...but you need to be keeping track of the baby's growth, etc..
Since the diagnosis - i have had to make appointments for:
1. Maternal Fetal Specialist - to determine if i have to be on medication. (not so far)
2. Diabetes Center - to learn about using the monitor, nutrition, etc.
3. Have a growth sono as part of my 20 week u/s.
4. Have an echo done on the baby at 24 weeks, and part of that will ALSO include a growth sono.
Every 4 weeks, i have to have a growth sono - to keep track of how the baby is growing....and every 4 weeks, i have to see the maternal doc to determine medication needs...
i'm really surprised that your doc was so non-chalant about it...but i'd try to make time to get it done...the SILVER lining is that you'll get to see MUCH more of the baby (that's what i keep telling myself at least... )
