MBT shoes
Anyone have these? do you think they are "safe" to wear while pregnant? probably a stupid question I know but they seem to be more than regular sneakers.
TIA

Re: MBT shoes
I wouldn't call them "unsafe" but I know that being pg causes a lot of women to be off balance and I wouldn't want to risk being any more off balance than I already am! JMO

Re: MBT shoes
True - although I wore heels all through my last pregnancy! do you have them? I really like them and am considering getting them for after the baby is born.

Re: MBT shoes
I haven't tried the MBT shoes while pregnant but I did try them when I wasn't. I personally didn't find them very comfortable. They kind of reminded me of those platform sneakers from like a decade ago.
I have a few friends (not pregnant) who swear by them.

Re: MBT shoes
Those are adorable. But they look like they would rock back and forth.

I think those are hideous looking -
but what do they do re: getting in shape??? - As far as being off balance in them or 'safe' for a pregnant woman..........I don't see anything wrong w/ them ???? -
But then again, you're talking to someone who at 29 weeks, still refuses to give up the 4" heels ........

Re: MBT shoes
See the height doesnt bother me as I wear heels throughout my pregnancy too - they are supposed to make your core muscles work better so you improve your posture and they are also supposed to give your calves a workout. I just wonder about any side effects they might have like putting any undue pressure on my core muscles or aggravating my sciatic nerve etc.....

Re: MBT shoes
I have them and swear by them....
I wore them before and really really noticed a change....
The thing now is that I am nervous to wear them....
I asked my doc and he said he preferred me to wear them indoors now and after the baby... I can start again....
He said if it had been summer or fall no problem... but because it can be icey....
They are great....

Re: MBT shoes
if one was interested in these snazzy shoes....where would one purchase them? Are they an online only type thing?

I've seen them at Hawlie Lane and the Walking Company...not sure if you have those stores near you?

I don't own a pair but I have tried them on several times in the store. Ive been wearing heels so far in my pregnancy but I am finding it more scary with the weather the way that it is. I would say that if you were going to wear them inside then it should be fine. Ultimately, I think you should print out a pic and maybe a description and bring to your Doc and let him/her have the ultimate say.

I've seen them sold at Bliss Spa and a few shoe stores in the UES.
They are supposed to give your whole lower body a good workout. They are supposed to tighten up your butt and calves.
